Our Mighty and Merciful Priest King Psalm 110 Consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession. Hebrews 3:1 One of the most beautiful images of Christ in the Scriptures is found in the beginning of Hebrews where it tells us “He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high” (Hebrews 1:3). David longed for and sought to behold the beauty we see here (Psalm 27:4), and it is astounding to think that God became flesh, and we have seen “His glory, glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14).
